The real estate world watches as the stars align (pun intended) and Ryan Seacrest prepares to purchase Ellen DeGeneres’s Beverly Hills estate for $37 million dollars.
Ellen has been shopping the estate quietly for the last year or so, and she and her wife, Portia De Rossi, have asked as much as $60 million for the property, although it was listed for a modest $49 million last fall.
Ryan Seacrest, notable television personality and radio talk show host, has also been in the market to sell his current home since 2010. The beautiful Mediterranean villa, which he originally bought from Kevin Costner in 2006, was originally listed at $15 million and recently relisted for $11.985 million.
Ryan Seacrest’s new home, located in scenic Coldwater Canyon, features a 9,200 square-foot main house as well as a compellation of 3 guesthouses, which Ellen and Portia pieced together over the last 5 years since acquiring the property in 2007. The outside provides the jewel on the crown, featuring a covered lounge and multiple dining areas, a massive swimming pool, and some peaceful koi ponds.
Ryan Seacrest has clearly found his upgrade in Ellen DeGeneres’s majestic home, and Kurt Rappaport, the listing agent who represents both parties, will certainly be one of the happier real estate agents in town as soon as the deal closes.
